Recover Your Username or Password

If you forget your MailChimp username or password, reset your account credentials to regain access to your account.

In this article, you'll learn how to recover your username or reset your password via email or the mobile phone number associated with your account.

Recover Username

  1. Navigate to the MailChimp login screen.
  2. Click the I forgot link next to the Username field.

  3. Click the radio button for Recover using your account's email.
  4. Enter your email address and click the Recover Username button.

You'll receive an email from MailChimp that contains the username or usernames associated with the email address you entered. If you don't receive this email within an hour or two, check your junk or spam folder.

In the email, click the link to go to the login screen, where we'll automatically fill in your username.

Reset by Mobile Phone Number

  1. Navigate to the MailChimp login screen.
  2. Click the I forgot link next to the username field.

  3. Select the radio button for Recover using your account's mobile number.
  4. Select your country from the drop-down menu, and input the mobile number associated with the account. 
  5. Click Recover Username to send a text message to the mobile number you entered.

  6. Enter the four-digit verification code you receive and click Ok to display the usernames attached to that phone number.

Reset Password

  1. Navigate to the MailChimp login screen.
  2. Click the I forgot link next to the password field.
    Click I forgot on the login screen to recover your password.
  3. Enter your username and click the Reset Password button.

We'll send an email with instructions on how to reset your password to the email address associated with the username you entered in the contact information for your account. If you don't receive this email within an hour or two, check your junk or spam folder.
