When you create a campaign to send to your list, there are a few different ways for you to include a survey. It's generally not a good idea to add a form or survey directly to your campaign. Most email programs aren't able to handle the code necessary to submit the form and it will ultimately break the HTML email. Below, we'll walk you through a few different integrations and options.

Use the poll merge tag

You can use the poll merge tag to gauge subscriber sentiment about a question or issue. The tag allows users to select a response on a scale from 1 to 10 and the results are visible in the campaign report.

Use an integration

If you'd like to send a more detailed survey, you can create a survey using a third-party tool and link it to your campaign. Both of these integrations use our Autoconnect templates to allow you to quickly and easily add a survey to any campaign:

  • SurveyGizmo Use this integration to select and send your SurveyGizmo surveys
  • SurveyMonkey Once the integration has been set up in MailChimp, you'll be able to send your survey from SurveyMonkey over to MailChimp to create a campaign. Check out SurveyMonkey's FAQs for specifics.

While these are the only two applications we have a direct integration with, you can also look into using other options such as Google Forms or any of the other options in our Integrations Directory.
