There are two ways that an account can be archived in MailChimp.

  • If an account owner clicks to permanently close their account under account > close my account.
  • If an account hasn't been accessed for a period greater than 12 months.

If the account is closed, it is totally closed and has to be recreated from scratch. We are unable to reactivate an archived account.

New accounts can be created here. If you had any outstanding pay as you go credits, contact our billing team so that they can move any unused credits to your new account.
