With our 6.4 Release, the MailChimp Facebook App has gotten a makeover! Instructions for adding a signup form to your Facebook page (the easy way) are here. It's still possible to add the signup form within the Facebook interface, and below we show you how.

Integrating Facebook and MailChimp From Within Facebook

  1. Go to the MailChimp Facebook Application page. Don't search for the MailChimp Application page by doing a general Facebook search for "MailChimp App" or the process may get funky.
  2. On the App page in Facebook, click Add to My Page under Freddie.

  3. In the popup window, click Add to Page next to your Page name. If you have more than one Page attached to your Facebook profile, you can keep adding the app to each Page. Later, you'll be able to specify different signup forms for each Page.

  4. Close the Add MailChimp to your Page pop up window.
  5. Click the down arrow in the Facebook navigation bar and then Use Facebook as Page.

  6. Click the Page Name that you are setting up which will take you to your Page. You can also type in your fan Page url, if you know it. DON'T click on switch, as that won't allow you to edit the Page settings properly.

  7. Click the Email Signup tab on the left side of your Page.

  8. A success message will appear to indicate that the connection has been made with instructions for completing the set up process.
  9. Click set up your form.

  10. You'll be redirected to the Integrations page in your MailChimp account. You may need to log in to your MailChimp account first.
  11. Click Facebook to open the Facebook integration details.

  12. If there's a red dot next to the Facebook heading, click install application to complete the link with Facebook.

  13. If you are not still logged in to Facebook, you'll be taken to a Facebook Log In page to log in to your personal Facebook account. Once you're logged in, you'll be presented with a Request for Permission to allow MailChimp to access your data. Note: You may not be prompted to do this if you've already linked MailChimp and your personal Facebook account.

  14. Click Allow to give MailChimp access to the specified Facebook information.
  15. A MailChimp Log In screen may appear within Facebook; log in to your MailChimp account again.
  16. Wait just a moment while we redirect you back to MailChimp and show that the integration was successful!

Once you've integrated your MailChimp and Facebook accounts, you can assign forms to your Facebook Pages.

Note

The Facebook signup form works just like your MailChimp double opt-in signup forms. Someone fills out the form, and will be sent an email asking them to confirm they want to be added to your list by clicking a link. A single opt-in form is not available.
