If you've created your own template using MailChimp's template language, or imported an HTML file you've coded, you can edit the design directly in your account. Below we'll walk you through how to edit the layout of the code in the Saved Templates section.
- Navigate to the Templates page in your account.
- Locate the template you'd like to edit by browsing the template list or using the search option.
- Click the Edit button for the template you want to work with.
From this screen you can edit the template using MailChimp's visual designer tools or click the Edit Code button to work directly in the template's HTML.
- Click the Save and Exit button when you're done editing the layout. If you're editing the template code click the Save button in the bottom-left corner of the Edit Code window, then click the Save and Exit button in the bottom-right corner of the template editor screen.
Changes made to a template will reflect in any draft or scheduled campaigns using that template. Before making edits to a template, make sure there are no draft or scheduled campaigns that could be negatively affected by your changes.
