When you click the Campaigns, Lists, Reports, or Autoresponders menu items in MailChimp's left navigation, you see drop down menus on the right side of the page that relate to the page you are on. The drop down menus are composed of two parts. The bigger left side is a button with the name of the feature most users need when arriving on the page. The smaller button to its right contains other options related to the page you're on.

In this article, we explain what each of the options mean and where you go when you click them.

Campaigns

On the Campaigns page in the app, you'll see a different drop down menu for each campaign depending on whether the campaign is in a draft or sent status.

When a campaign is in draft status the the larger left portion of the drop down menu will be an Edit button that takes you right back to where you left off when you last worked in the campaign. Clicking the right drop down menu will expand these additional options:

Sent campaign drop down menu

When a campaign is in sent status this menu will change a bit. The larger left portion is a View Report button. Clicking this will take you right to the campaign report for this sent campaign. Clicking the right drop down menu will expand these additional options:

  • View Email will show a popup preview of the campaign.
  • Replicate will make a copy of this sent campaign.
  • Social Share allows you to share the archived version of your campaign on social networks like Twitter and Facebook.

Lists

Each list on the Lists page has a drop down menu composed of a Stats button and the additional options under the drop down menu. Clicking the Stats button will take you to the Stats Overview page for this list that will give you an at-a-glance look at how well your list is performing. Clicking the right portion of the drop down menu will expand to show these options:

Reports

Reports for sent campaigns also feature a drop down menu. The larger left portion of the drop down menu is the View Report button. Just like for sent campaigns mentioned above, clicking the View Report button will take you right to that campaign's report. Clicking the drop down menu to the right of this button will expand to show these options:

  • View email will show a popup preview of the campaign.
  • Social share allows you to share the archived version of your campaign on social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
  • Export to excel will export report statistics, like clicks and opens, for this campaign.

Autoresponders

The autoresponder drop down menu is similar to a campaign drop down menu in that the options available depend on the autoresponder's status. The larger left portion of the drop down menu is an Edit button. Autoresponders can be edited at any time.

An autoresponder that is currently in a sending status has the following options available:
