Here's how to add your MailChimp signup form to your blog.

  1. Log in to MailChimp.
  2. Click on Lists.
  3. Click on View List.
  4. Hover over For Your Website and click Signup Form Embed Code.

  5. Choose one of the three form styles:
    • Super Slim Form
      A simple form with only the email address field. If you have other required fields in your list, try one of the other options.
    • Classic Form
      The Classic MailChimp Embed form, with multiple customizable options.
    • Naked Form
      Similar to the Classic Form, but with no CSS or Javascript, allowing greater control and flexibility.
  6. Click Options to customize your form.
    The options available vary based on the form you choose:
    • Super Slim Form
      1. Name your form and set the width, in pixels.

      1. Check to show a title on your embed form, and specify the title.
      2. Toggle between showing only required fields and showing all visible fields for your list.
      3. Check to show groups on your embed form.
      4. Check to choose whether to show an indicator for required fields.
      5. Specify a width for your form; default will expand to fit the area where the form code is place.
      6. Check additional options to enhance your form such as enabling Evil Popup Mode, adding your subscriber count, or displaying the MailChimp badge. Click on the ? next to the option to see additional information about the option.
    • Naked Form
      1. Includes the same options as the Classic Form except javascript can't be enabled for this form and the Evil Popup Mode can't be enabled because it requires javascript.

  7. Click Create Embed Code button to generate the code for the form you've created.

  8. Click in the box where the code appears, under copy/paste into your site.

  9. By default, all of the text will be selected in most browsers. If not, select all of the text in the box.
  10. Copy the text.
  11. Log in to your Yola account.
  12. Go to the page of your site where you'd like to add your signup form.
  13. In the widgets menu to the right of your page, expose the basic widgets and select the HTML widget.

  14. Paste your signup form embed code into the text box.
  15. Click save.

Your signup form will appear in the widget box on your Yola page.

Note

The appearance of your signup form is dictated by the Yola theme you are using. Some themes may not render your signup form in exactly the same way as our sample theme.
