About Campaign Archives
This feature requires Author user level or higher.
When you send with MailChimp, we automatically create a web-browser version of your campaign, which we place in your campaign archive. The campaign archive is a free, mobile-friendly landing page that displays links to the twenty most recent campaigns sent to your list.
Use the campaign archive to share content with people who may not be subscribers yet. You can choose to share the full archive, share the archived version of one campaign, or limit access to the campaign archive if you want to keep it private.
In this article, you’ll learn about the campaign archive.
About the "View This Email in Your Browser" Archive Link
When you create a campaign, you’ll see a default link at the top of most MailChimp templates.

This links to the web-friendly, archived version of your campaign. We call it the archive link.
How It Works
After you send a campaign, the archived version of your campaign goes live, so subscribers can view your message in their web browser. This link helps any subscribers who might have trouble viewing your email in their inbox caused by HTML issues or image blocking. They can simply click View this email in your browser to view your campaign.
The archived version of your campaign is also what’s displayed when you or your subscribers share your sent campaign online or on social media sites, or forward it to a friend.
MailChimp includes an archive link in most templates. But if it’s missing, you can add a View this email in your browser archive link to your campaign.
About the *|IFNOT:ARCHIVE_PAGE|* Merge Tag
To protect your privacy, we automatically include a special merge tag in your campaign footer to hide list contact information from non-subscribers.
The *|IFNOT:ARCHIVE_PAGE|* merge tag hides important list information from the archived version of your campaign. We include this tag in your campaign footer to protect your subscriber-only content like your contact information and mailing address.

Text between the *|IFNOT:ARCHIVE_PAGE|* and *|END:IF|* merge tags will be hidden from the archived version of your campaign, but subscribers can still see it in their inbox.
If there’s any other sensitive information that you want to hide on the archived version of your campaign, like members-only deals or coupons, you can use conditional merge tags.
