Once you’ve connected your store to MailChimp and started tracking purchases, you’ll start seeing order details in campaign reports and on subscriber profile pages. Use this data to track individual product sales and total revenue, target your customers with personalized offers, and measure your ROI.
In this article, you'll learn how to view e-commerce data in subscriber profiles and campaign reports.
Before You Start
To view purchase data, you must first connect your store using an e-commerce integration or API 3.0.
Some e-commerce platforms will push historic purchase information into subscriber profiles that didn’t result from one of your campaigns. In this case, the e-commerce data on your subscriber profile pages will differ from the data in your campaign reports.
The Product Recommendations feature is available for paid users who have API 3.0 e-commerce data in their account. This includes data from custom API 3.0 integrations, as well as MailChimp for Shopify, MailChimp for Magento, MailChimp for BigCommerce, and MailChimp for WooCommerce.

We display each subscriber’s order details on their subscriber profile page. If the purchase was tied to a MailChimp campaign, we’ll also show the name of the campaign.
To view e-commerce order details in a subscriber profile, follow these steps.
- In the navigation bar, click the
- Click the Everything drop-down menu and choose Subscribers.
- Type in a search term, like the subscriber's email address or name, and press enter or click the Search icon.
- Click View Profile to view the subscriber’s full profile.
- Click the E-commerce tab.
The E-commerce tab is also where you’ll see the subscriber’s top five product recommendations. If you don’t have enough e-commerce data to generate individual product recommendations, we’ll show your store’s top sellers instead.
Reports page, you’ll be able to choose the campaign report you want to view.
To view e-commerce data for a specific campaign, follow these steps..
- Navigate to the Reports page.
- Click View Report next to the campaign you want to work with.
- In the navigation bar, click E-commerce.
The E-commerce tab of your report is where you’ll find your Order history, which displays list of each subscriber’s purchases. Click the View store drop-down menu to filter purchases by connected store.
If you’re using MailChimp for Shopify or a custom API 3.0 integration, you will have the option to view your Product activity or Order history.
Product activity shows a list of products sold through the campaign and the amount of revenue generated by each product. If you added Product Recommendations to your campaign, this page will also show you how much money your recommendations generated.
