Connect or Disconnect the Facebook Integration

Integrate Facebook with MailChimp through your Facebook Profile, then add Facebook Pages you manage to grow your list and share your campaigns. You can choose to disconnect the integration at any time.

In this article, you'll learn how to set up or disconnect Facebook from your MailChimp account.

Before You Start

Here are some things to know before you begin this process.

  • The integration is set up through your personal Facebook profile. After you set up the Facebook integration, you can add signup forms to Facebook Pages you manage, share new campaigns to Facebook, and more. Learn more about Pages and Profiles.
  • You'll need to have an active Facebook account before you set up the integration.
  • When you set up the integration, you must click OK in each of the three Facebook permissions pop-up modals for the integration to function correctly. To change the permissions and fix any problems, first disconnect, then reconnect the integration.

Set Up the Integration

To integrate Facebook with your MailChimp account, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to your MailChimp account.
  2. Click your profile name, and choose Account.

  4. Click Facebook to expand the Facebook integration details, and click Log In.

    If prompted, input your Facebook credentials, and click Log In.
  5. In the permissions pop-up modal, click OK.

  6. In the posts modal, click the drop-down menu to choose who can see your posts, and then click OK.

  7. In the pages modal, click OK.

After you connect the integration, we’ll display a success message in your MailChimp account.

Disconnect the Integration

To disconnect the Facebook integration, you'll first disconnect it in your MailChimp account, then remove it from your Facebook account.

To disconnect Facebook from your MailChimp account, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to your MailChimp account.
  2. Click your profile name, and choose Account.

  4. Click Facebook to open the integration settings.
  5. Click the Disconnect link to remove the application from MailChimp.

After you've disconnected the integration in MailChimp, you'll need to disconnect it in your Facebook account. You can reconnect Facebook with your MailChimp account at any time.

Disconnect in Facebook

To remove MailChimp from your Facebook account, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to your Facebook account.
  2. Click the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of the screen, and choose Settings.

  4. Find MailChimp and click the X icon.

  5. Click Remove to confirm that you want to remove MailChimp from your Facebook account.
