Integrate Flickr with MailChimp

This feature requires Manager user level or higher.

When you integrate your Flickr account with MailChimp, you can quickly select images from your Flickr stream right from our File Manager and use them in campaigns. 

Connect Flickr with MailChimp

  1. Navigate to the Design step of the Campaign Builder.
  2. Edit an image content block, then click the Browse button. If you want to add the Flickr image to a text content block, edit the text block then click the File Manager icon.
  3. Click the Import From URL drop-down menu and choose Import from Flickr.
  4. In the pop-up window, log in to your Yahoo/Flickr account.
  5. Click the OK, I'LL AUTHORIZE IT option to authorize MailChimp to access your Flickr account.
  6. Sign in to your MailChimp account with your username and password to complete the connection.

Import to an Image Content Block

With the integration connected, you can search and select images from your Flickr account to transfer to your MailChimp File Manager.

  1. Navigate to the Design step of the Campaign Builder.
  2. Click the Browse button or double-click the image you want to edit.
  3. Click the Import from URL drop-down menu and choose Import from Flickr from the list.
  4. Search or browse to find the photo you want to use in your campaign.
  5. Click Import to save a copy of the Flickr image in your MailChimp File Manager.
  6. When the transfer is complete, your image will appear in the image block you selected in the layout editor.

In the Edit Image pane, you’ll see four options:

Import to a Text Content Block

With the integration connected, you can search and select images from your Flickr account to transfer to your MailChimp File Manager.

  1. Navigate to the Design step of the Campaign Builder.
  2. Click a text block to open it, and place your cursor where you want the image to go.
  3. Click the File Manager icon.
  4. Click the Import from URL drop-down menu and choose Import from Flickr.
  5. Search or browse to find the photo you want to use in your campaign.
  6. Click Import to save a copy of the Flickr image in your MailChimp File Manager.
  7. When the transfer is complete, set optional image properties on the Edit Image screen.
  8. Click Save & Insert Image to return to the layout editor.

To set optional image properties, like whether to add alt-text or a click-through URL, double-click the image in the text block to edit those settings.

Disconnect the Flickr Integration

  1. Log in to your Flickr account.
  2. Hover over your userpic in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
  3. Select the Sharing & Extending tab.
  4. Click edit next to the Account links section.
  5. Click the Remove permission? link next to MailChimp Gallery Integration.
