When you want to test a new layout or create a series of similar layouts, make a copy of your template to work from. You'll save time when you copy templates in your MailChimp account, because you don't have to start from scratch every time. 

In this article, you'll learn how to replicate a template.

Copy a template

  1. Navigate to the Templates page.
  2. Locate the template you'd like to copy by browsing the template list or using the search option.
  3. Click the template's drop-down menu and choose Replicate to open the copied template in the template editor.

  4. Click Rename.
  5. Enter a name for the new copy of your template, then click the Rename button on the Save Template pop-up modal. 

After renaming the template, choose to Continue Editing or Exit To Templates
