Why We Don’t Have Phone Support

We limit our support to online communication for a few reasons.

    Online support allows us to keep MailChimp’s pricing down, while maintaining a feature-rich application.

  • Easy sharing of visuals and instructions.
    Online support helps our team gather system details and other information so that we can troubleshoot effectively. We’re also able to easily send educational resources like articles and videos that help you get the most out of MailChimp.

Online Support Tips

If you’re new to MailChimp or if you’ve never tried online support before, review these tips to make sure you get exactly what you need from us.

  • Search the Knowledge Base for help.
    To get back to work as quickly as possible, use our Knowledge Base to see if an article answers your question.

  • Expect a conversation.  
    Our Support Team are full-time employees of MailChimp who work alongside the rest of our company, so expect to have a great chat or email experience with a trained support technician.

  • Take a few screenshots.
    Screenshots of what’s happening in your MailChimp account can help our Support Team find a solution for you more quickly.

  • Get ready for some questions.
    Your support technician will typically ask you a few questions about your account and the task you’re trying to complete to make sure we completely understand what you need. This process usually takes a few minutes. We’ll never ask you for sensitive info like credit card numbers or passwords.

  • Let us know how you want to learn.
    The Support Team can send you visuals, Knowledge Base articles, or step-by-step instructions. Our goal is to empower you to become the best MailChimp user you can be.

Contact Support

If you’re on a Monthly Plan, the Pay as You Go Plan, or have MailChimp Pro, you can contact the Support Team via chat or email. To start a chat or an email, you’ll log into your account and use the Help tool.

Users with newly-created Forever Free accounts can email the Support Team in the first 30 days after account creation, and can upgrade their account to access chat and email support. Paid plans start as low as $9 (USD) per month.

Send an Email to Support

You’ll need to open the Knowledge Base in your account to access the support email form.

To email our Support Team, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to MailChimp.

  2. Click Help in the top navigation bar.

  3. Type a keyword or phrase into the search field, and click the Search icon. We’ll show you a list of related Knowledge Base articles.

  4. Click any article link.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the article, and click Email Us.

  6. Fill out the form fields, and click Submit Question.

Chat with Support

You’ll need to open the Knowledge Base in your account to access live support chat.

To start a support chat, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to MailChimp.

  2. Click Help in the top navigation bar.

  3. Type a keyword or phrase into the search field, and click the search icon. We’ll show you a list of related Knowledge Base articles.

  4. Click any article link.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the article, and click Chat With Us.

    Your chat with a MailChimp Technical Support Agent will open in a new window.
