Add an Email Campaign Archive to Your Website

Add a custom MailChimp email campaign archive to your website and allow visitors to view your recent campaigns, which can improve visibility and your site's SEO. Choose to embed our archive generator code, or design and host your own custom campaign archive for additional control. We'll automatically update the links in the archive each time you send a campaign.

In this article, you'll learn how to add a campaign archive to your website.

Before You Start

Here are some things to know before you begin this process.

  • This is an advanced feature and is recommended for users familiar with custom coding. Contact your developer, or hire a MailChimp Expert if you need assistance.
  • If you're not comfortable with code, share your list’s email campaign archive on the web to showcase your recent campaigns.
  • It may take up to 48 hours for your latest campaign to appear in your campaign archive.
  • This feature is compatible with both http:// and https:// sites.

Get the Archive Code

The generated archive code you'll embed on your website is associated with a folder of campaigns in your account. If you don't already have your campaigns organized in folders, you'll need to create one. Then, you'll make any changes to the code, copy it, and embed it in your site where the archive should appear.

Create a Folder

To get the archive code you need, move any campaigns you want to display on your site into a new folder. It may help you to name it descriptively, such as "Public Campaigns," but the folder name won't be visible to your website visitors.

Organize Campaigns into Folders

Copy the Archive Code

After your folder is set up, you're ready to copy the archive's embed code.

To copy the archive code, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns page.
  2. Choose a folder, and click Get Archive Code.
Folders drop-down menu on the Campaigns page with cursor over the link to the archive code.
  3. Click the name of the folder you want to display.
  4. Copy the code to your clipboard or to a plain-text file.

Edit and Embed the Archive Code

You can make changes to the code provided. By default, the code displays the 10 most recent campaigns, but you can change it to show any number. Search the code for the attribute show=10 and change "10" to any other whole number.

To mirror your website design in the archive, you'll need to edit the CSS that's included with the code snippet. Since every site is different, contact your developer or hire a MailChimp Expert if you're not comfortable doing this by yourself.

If you're satisfied with the code as-is, or you've made the changes you want, copy the code from where it's saved and paste it into your website's HTML where you want the archive to appear. And you're all set!

Host Your Own Archives

If you have access to a developer, or if you're comfortable with code, you also have the option to host your own MailChimp archives. Copy the HTML from your MailChimp-hosted email campaign archive, and move it over to your website as a new page.

If you choose to host your own archives, search engines will index your archived campaigns, so they'll be publicly searchable.
