Enable or Disable Final Welcome Email

This feature requires Manager user level or higher.

When you use MailChimp's signup forms, we require you to include the double opt-in process. Double opt-in lists have much higher engagement levels over time and are just good practice.

We can't turn off or otherwise disable the email that asks people to confirm their subscription to your list, but you can choose to enable or disable the final welcome email, which is sent after someone clicks to confirm their subscription. By default, the final welcome email is disabled.

In this article, you'll learn two ways to enable or disable your final welcome email.

From the Form Builder

  1. Navigate to the Lists page.
  2. Click the drop-down menu next to the list you want to work with and choose Signup forms.
Select Signup forms from the drop-down menu
  3. Select General forms.
  4. Click the Forms and response emails drop-down menu, and choose Final welcome email.
  5. Check the box next to Send a final welcome email to turn the final welcome email on, or uncheck the box to turn it off.
Check Send a final welcome email box
